HOW TO OVERCOME SICKNESS AND DISEASE AS A CHRISTIAN


I will start by saying, it has been a very big struggle for Christians and non-Christians when it comes to the issue of sickness and disease. You will find that people spend a lot of money on sickness and disease, people even have their own specialists to check their bodies, and medical aid and people are paying a lot of bills for medicine because of this. That’s not all, people are dying due to sickness and disease. I wish they could know the truth, the truth that will set them free. The word of God says in John 8:32 (NKJV) “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. If the word of God says this, then it shows that there is a problem, and we need to find what the problem is.

The problem is Christians do not know the truth. I have taken my time to find the truth for you so that you may overcome sickness and diseases as a Christian. Take note, the moment you become a Christian you have already overcome sickness and disease (read this statement again). You need to know the truth, and this statement is the truth. You need to be aware that the goal of sickness and disease is to cause death. The moment a Christian has sickness and disease in their body, death is in their body. The main purpose of satan attacking you with sickness and disease is to cause death.

Look at what the bible says in John 5:22 NIV “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life”. This verse shows that a Christian has already crossed over from death, sickness, and disease (which I may define as a punishment or judgment) and now has come to life. Take note that the word life in Greek is called Zoe which means God-kind of life. 

Many Christians do not know that they have that God-kind life in them. This is the life you get the moment you receive Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. This Life shows that you have crossed over, overcome, and you are above. The moment you notice that your body is not feeling well, don’t confess what you are feeling is wrong with your body. Instead, confess this “ I have the God-kind of life in me”, so that the God-kind of life in you can fight against what you feel. Every sickness and disease comes with symptoms, therefore do not confess them. By doing this you activate the God kind of life in you to fight those symptoms so that you can be free from sickness and disease.  

Additionally, you can confess and meditate on scripture that talks about healing. For example,

1.     1st Peter 2:24 NASB - And He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.

2.     Matthew 8:17 NLT - This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases”.

These scriptures show that as a Christian, Jesus Christ has already done everything for you so that you can never get sickness and disease. All you must do is accept the truth and make the truth yours. You are already healed you don’t have to look for Jesus to heal you, the scripture says by his wounds you were healed which means you have healed already. He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases, try to understand this truth clearly and you will see that you don’t have to get any sickness or disease. This is what you are supposed to know and understand as a Christian.

Stop confessing symptoms and diseases, mentioning their names, or confessing what’s on a medical report, it doesn’t help you. The moment you confess the symptoms is the moment you allow sickness/disease to attack you. You should confess healing scripture or what the word of God says about you. Do these confessions every day you will find that you will overcome, and sickness and disease will be a thing of the past. You will never get it again.

CONFESSION PRAYER

Dear heavenly Father, I acknowledge and accept that Jesus Christ has healed me. I know that healing is in me because He took my sickness and diseases, by saying this it means I have no sickness or disease. Any symptom of sickness or disease is a lie from satan. What I know is I have crossed over from death to life. I have the God-kind of life in me, which means the life God has is the same life I have. God Almighty will never be attacked by sickness and disease or their symptoms, therefore I live the same life as God. By this confession I declare, and I agree that I will never get sickness or disease or their symptoms the rest of my life. The life of God is working in my nervous and blood system, in my bones, from head to toe, everywhere in my body. I confess that I am healed and free. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ the son of the living God. Amen!

In this world, many people are struggling with sickness and they do not know how to overcome sickness and be free from it. I am talking about Christians here. Listen citizens from heaven, the moment you become born again as a Christian, that was the end of sickness. So where does the problem come from? Many citizens of heaven do not understand that when you are born again as a Christian you receive a new life from God almighty, this is eternal life which is imparted into your spirit. God does this so that you can have the same pure life God has. He gives us His life because God knew there would be sickness in this world. In this world, there is a lot of chaos, persecution, diseases, death, etc. In fact, there is no peace in this world. It doesn’t mean that God is the one who created these things, satan is the source.
